Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions that we receive. If your questions is not answered here please feel free to contact us.
1. Are the image atlases compatible with PC and Mac?
Yes, our image atlas series CDs are compatible with both PC and Mac. Bacteriology, Mycology and Parasitology Image Atlases run through internet explorer 5.0 or above while the Hematology Image Atlas will run on Windows 95 and above and Mac OS X and above.
2. Are the Inquizator Series CDs compatible with PC and Mac?
Yes, however, Mac users will have to run PC emulation software.
3. What is a single user license?
The single license agreement allows the user to install the program on a single computer. Any number of people (e.g. students, faculty, staff) can use the program on this one computer.
4. What is a site license?
A site license agreement will allow the user to install the program on an unlimited number of computers (faculty computers, lab computers, etc) at their site. A site is defined as a university, hospital, or business located at a single campus/city. A site license must be purchased if the program is to be loaded on a secure (password protected) intranet site (e.g. Blackboard, Angel, Canvas). Loading images or programs on an Internet or unsecured intranet site is NOT allowed.
5. Is internet access needed?
No, although some of the programs run through Internet Explorer, internet access is not required.
6. Is there an annual fee?
No, there is only the initial purchase price.
7. Can I download images from the Image Atlas series?
Yes, we encourage the use of our images for educational purposes. Images from the image atlas series (single or site license) can be downloaded for use in exams, study sheets, PowerPoint presentations, flash cards, lab and procedure manuals, etc. The images may NOT be used in publications or for internet posting. Also, the images must always contain our logo (no cropping).
8. Can I download images from the Inquizator series?
No, these images cannot be downloaded.
9. How do I download images from the Image Atlas series?
Always use the floppy disc icon in lower right corner of image page and follow screen instructions. This will assure that the downloaded image will be correctly sized for PowerPoint presentations.
10. I purchased a single license. Can I upgrade to a site license?
Yes, we will apply the purchase price of the single user license towards the purchase of a site license.
11. What if I lost the CD or need an upgrade?
Indiana Pathology Images will provide upgraded or replacement CDs at a reduced charge, with original CD proof of purchase. The cost for an upgrade/replacement will be 50% of the current retail price, plus the advertised shipping and handling fees.
